A weekend at Brinkburn Northumberland

Recently some dear friends of ours held their 3 day wedding at the stunning Brinkburn Northumberland, starting with a Pizza party welcome on the Friday night in The Stables, followed by a stunning ceremony in Brinkburn Priory on the Saturday and then we rounded off the weekend with one of the best Sunday Lunches we have ever tasted; cooked by the fantastic team at 1901 Catering. (The cauliflower cheese was the stuff dreams are made of!).

Not only were we guests at the wedding (a rarity!) Alastair was also a Groomsman, so this weekend was extremely special for us, however we couldn't resist doing a little bit of work in the form of a PA system for the speeches, DJing to follow the Ceilidh band and a Selfie Pod to capture those all important memories - this also meant we were able to work alongside the fantastically talented Enchanted Florist who also happens to be related to the Groom. Julie's floral arch at the entrance of the Priory, well it can speak for itself...

A 3 day wedding might seem like a lot, but your wedding day will be one of the quickest days of your life! Before you know it you're dancing to the last song of the night, so spreading out the celebrations across a few days really helps to slow the time down and it also means more time spent with your loved ones, as let's be honest getting big groups of people together at the same time is not an easy task!

For Jonny and Daisy they had guests travelling from Bath and even flying in from France, so the longer the celebration the better!

Being a guest at a venue as beautiful as Brinkburn is a complete treat and for those of you who don't know Jess, she is Brinkburn's wedding co-ordinator and is the best of the best! Nothing is too much to ask and Jess ensures the entire weekend from check in on the Friday afternoon to saying goodbye after Lunch on the Sunday is smooth. If you're planning your Northumberland wedding and you want the option of a traditional church wedding or a ceremony in a beautiful manor house without the hassle of then needing wedding guest transport to the reception aaaaaand you're looking to have an extended wedding celebration then look no further than Brinkburn Northumberland!

We couldn't not get a wedding-supplier team pic! Featuring Helen Russel, Chloe (Blush and Blossom) Julie (Enchanted Florist), Jess (Brinkburn) and Liv (AG Events).
